LAYING PULLETS

Our laying hens are generally available at 16 weeks old and also as day old chicks. All 16 week old pullets are fully vaccinated and guaranteed for 6 weeks. The prices quoted are for 16 week old birds in small quantities. For orders above 25 birds, please ring us for prices. Our birds are in high demand so please try to order early. Bason White £8.00

Hardly and docile bird suitable for all terrains and weather. Good brown eggs with excellent shell quality. Rhode Rocks will lay 260 – 280 eggs per year.

Small Leghorn type bird. Prolific layer of good sized white eggs. Produces up to 300 per year.

Beechwood Blue £9.00

Speckledy £9.00

Very docile heavy bird. Her lovely smokey blue plumage makes her an increasingly popular choice for small scale poultry keepers. She will lay 200 – 240 brown eggs per year.

Our famous Speckledy is a very attractive bird similar to a pure Maran but bred for greater egg production. Very suitable for small free range flocks. She will produce up to 250 high quality brown eggs per year.

Heavyweight bird. Very attractive and docile. Most suited to free range and lays around 200+ eggs per year.

Good temperament and ideal for free range or deep litter systems. Very Hardy. Excellent reliable layer and will provide up to 300 eggs per year.

Pied Ranger £8.00

Medium size bird. A popular bird for domestic situations laying 250 – 260 eggs per year.

We usually have a variety of quality brown hybrid pullets available. These can be Isa Brown, Warren, Goldline, Hy-Line or Lohmann Brown. They are easily managed and docile and will reliably lay up to 300 eggs per year.
